Poland is a country with rich traditions and cultural heritage and history going back to the first millennium. Stylish cities like Krakow and Gdansk and energetic Warsaw contrast with the beauty of rivers lakes and hills offering fun in the fresh-air. Because of the tragedy of WWII there are many monuments and museums dedicated to that time and Poland’s incredible survival and revival. The country’s rich Jewish heritage has come to be appreciated. Many synagogues are being restored with sensitivity and former Jewish centers like Lodz and Lublin have set up heritage trails. Other places to visit are Cracow, Lowicz and the many UNESCO world heritage sites throughout Poland.
