Day 1

Brussels
Arrival in Brussels. Transfer from the airport. The sightseeing tour starts at the Horta museum, the private house of the world famous Art Nouveau creator. Then go to Ms Majerus’s stained glass workshop where a wonderful collection can be seen and learn how ancient craftsmen created their masterpieces. Continue to view the Grand-Place and the Gilde houses, the Galleries St Hubert, Manneken-pis, the cathedral St Michel, the Sablon squares with the gothic Notre-Dame church, the law courts, the Royal palace, Brussels park and a visit to the comic strip Museum.

 

Day 2

Brussels – Gent (60km./1h.) – Bruges (60km./1h.) – Brussels (100km./1h.30min.)

Departure to Gent. Discover the native land of Charles V, the Belfry, the City Hall, St Nicolas Church, the St Michel bridge. Visit the cathedral St Baffs with the world famous Mystical Lamb from the brothers Van Eyks.  Continue to Bruges to discover the Grote Markt, the Belfry and Halles, the Basilica of the Holy Blood, the City Hall, the Beguinage,  the Lake of Love. Back in Brussels.
 

 

Day 3

Brussels – Antwerp (50km./1h.) - Brussels
Visit the town centre to see the first European Skyscraper, the Grand-Place, the Town Hall, the  Notre-Dame cathedral, Rubens house and the St Charles Borromeo baroque church. Walk to the Cogels-Osylei area with typical art-nouveau houses and then to the Mayer Van Den Bergh Museum the private house of an incredible art collector. Back in Brussels.

 

Day 4

Brussels – Ardennes – Durbuy (130km./1h.30min.) – Brussels (130km./1h.30min.)
Enjoy the luxurious Ardennes castles. Begin by visiting Namur and the  wonderful  Annevoie garden, then on to Dinant with its unique church and scenery. See the smallest and cutest Belgian town -Durbuy. Visit Modave castle with some sections dating to the XIII century where about twenty richly decorated and furnished rooms are open to the public with sculptures paintings, tapestries and furniture. Back in Brussels.

 

Day 5

Brussels – Mechelen – Brussels
Explore the historical city of Mechelen, the political capital of the Netherlands in the 16th century. Visit the Rombouts cathedral, the Archibishop's Palace, the St John church and the Town Hall.  Back to Brussels.

 

Day 6

Transfer to the airport. Departure flight
