Day 1
Copenhagen
Arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 2
Copenhagen
The day starts with a half day guided tour including the most famous sights of the city - Royal Amalienborg Palace, Christiansborg Palace - now home to the Danish Parliament, Gefion Fountain, Nyhavn and of course the Little Mermaid, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale. The afternoon is free for exploring this fairytale town.
Day 3
Copenhagen – Oslo (cruise)
Have a tour to Kronborg, the Danish castle made famous as Elsinor in Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet.’ Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kronborg is must-see for Shakespeare fans and royalty buffs. This tour also includes stops at two more Danish royal sites – Fredensborg Palace, one of the Danish royal family’s residences, and Frederiksborg Castle, now the Museum of National History. Afternoon transfer to DFDS Seaways terminal for your overnight cruise to Oslo.
Day 4
Oslo
Arrival in Oslo followed by guided tour of the Norwegian capital. You will visit the Norwegian Folk Museum, the Kon-Tiki Museum (home to the Kon-Tiki,the raft used in the 1947 Norwegian expedition across the Pacific), the Fram Museum (home to the Fram, a famous vessel used in Norwegian polar expeditions), the Viking ships, Vigeland Sculpture Park and the famous ski jump in Holmenkollen, which has hosted the Holmenkollen Ski Festival since 1892 and hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics. Overnight.
Day 5
Oslo – Geilo (242km/4h30min) – Hardanger fjord (215km/4h) – Lofthus (65km/1h)
Depart from Oslo and drive to the mountain resort of Geilo for a stop. The tour continues skirting the wild Hardanger Mountain Plateau, stopping at Fossli to admire Norway's highest waterfall, Voringsfoss, with a vertical drop of 180 m. Descend to the lovely Lofthus where you spend the night.
Day 6
Lofthus – Bergen (50km+ferry/3h)
Start with a short ferry crossing and then continue to Bergen, capital of Western Norway and gateway to the fjords. After arrival have a city tour of this beautiful Old Hansa Town, surrounded by 7 mountains. The tour will show you the Old Bryggen Area and the popular Fish and Flower Market, the ancient Maria Church, Hanseatic Quarter, Old Bryggen Harbor and other famous sights. Overnight.
Day 7
Bergen – Sognefjord (203km + ferry/4h) – Voss (100km/1h30min) – Balestrand (93km/1h30min)
Once again a short ferry crossing and continue to Sognefjord which lies in the heart of the Norwegian fjord country called Fjord Norway and extends more than 200 km inland to the national parks of Jotunheimen and Jostedalsbreen. Continue to Voss – which sits in a location surrounded by snow-capped mountains, forests, lakes and fast flowing white water rivers. This has led to its development as a notable center of skiing, water sports, skydiving, paragliding and other adventure sports.Carry on to Balestrand. Here you can visit St Olavs Church and Sognefjord Aquarium - a small aquarium with examples of sealife found in the fjord. Overnight.
Day 8
Balestrand – Nordfjord (165km/3h20min) – Loen (57km/1h)
Departure by motor coach, for a drive along the fjord to Fjaerland. Visit the glacier Museum. Continue along the scenic route, passing under the Jostedal Glacier, the largest in Europe, to the village of Skei - it is sitauated in beatifull suroundings at the Jølstervatnet lake. Descend to the beautiful Nord Fjord, making a detour at Olden to visit the world-famous Briksdal Glacier. During the afternoon the tour continues to Loen. Have some free time to explore the city. Overnight.
Day 9
Loen – Geiranger (83km/1h20min) – Lillehammer (271km/4h)
Travel through Stryn to the picturesque village of Hellesylt. From here you board the ferry for a one hour cruise along the spectacular Geiranger Fjord. During the cruise you will pass close by some impressive waterfalls, such as the Bridal Veil and the Seven Sisters. Disembark in the picturesque village of Geiranger. Visit the interesting Fjord Museum and continue across the Grotli Mountains to Lom and descend into the remarkable Gudbrands Valley, renowned for its old farmsteads and beautiful river, to the small town of Lillehammer, known to the world since the Olympic Winter Games in 1984. Overnight.
Day 10
Lillehammer – Stockholm (flight)
Free time to explore Lillehammer before continuing alongside Lake Mjysa, the biggest lake in Norway. Transfer to international Airport outside Oslo where you take a one hour flight to Stockholm. Arrival at Stockholm and have some free time to explore the city. Overnight.
Day 11
Stockholm
The day starts with a guided tour, including some of the famous sights of the city: the Royal Palace, Parliament Buildings, Cathedral, Royal Theatre, etc. You will also visit the enchanting Old Town (Gamla Stan) with its narrow cobbled streets and numerous antique shops. Highlight of the tour is a visit to City Hall with its famous Blue and Golden Halls, where the Nobel Prize banquet is held each year. Afternoon free in Stockholm, with the possibility of visiting the famous Wasa Museum or take one of the popular canal tours.
Day 12
Stockholm
Transfer to the airport for a final departure.
