 Bring history to life while traveling through the amazing countries of Slovakia, Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary that will take you to some outstandingly beautiful cities that will include Budapest, Vienna, Prague and others.

Day 1

Budapest
Arrival at Budapest and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Budapest.

Day 2

Budapest
Join the  Half-day guided  City tour: Castle Hill with the Royal Palace, the gothic Matthias church and Fishermen’ s Bastions, Chain bridge, Andrássy Avenue and Heroes’ s square , Opera house, the Parliament building, St. Stephan Basilica, St. Gellert Hill with the Citadel, the Dohany street Synagogue. Afternoon – free time. Overnight in Budapest. Optional: visit  to the Parliament interior,  the museum of the Citadel, The Museum of Fine Art on Heroes square and the Synagogue's Jewish Museum.

Day 3

Budapest – via Fertőd - Sopron - Vienna (285 km/ 3.45 min)
On the way to Sopron there will be a stop at the Esterházy Palace near Fertőd, known as  the "Hungarian Versailles"  this is one of the most beautiful group of Baroque palace edifices in Hungary  and is visited by  hundreds of thousand of tourists every year. The second half of the 18th century was the golden age of Esterházy under Prince Miklós Esterházy.  Next day we shall see other Esterhazy family castles. Proceed to Sopron for a city tour. When the area that is today Western Hungary was a province of the Roman Empire, a city called Scarbantia stood here. Its forum was located where the main square of modern Sopron is situated. In 1676 Sopron was destroyed by a fire. In the next few decades this beautiiful historic city was reborn with lovely Baroque buildings replacing the old medieval ones.  On route we can visit the Esterhazy palace in Eisenstadt  (Austria) and  walk around Eisenstadt, the birthplace of the great composer Haydn.  Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt is one of the most beautiful baroque palaces in Austria and presents a fascinating view of the resplendent life once lived at the court of the Princes Esterházy. Arrival in the capital of Austria. Overnight in Vienna.

Day 4

Vienna – Discover the capital of Austria
Depart for Vienna City tour, which will introduce you to the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As we drive around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, we shall see the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art, the Parliament building, the National Theatre, the City Hall and the University and City Park. We will also visit Hofburg – the royal palace in Vienna, then walk to the beautiful Gothic St. Stefan’s cathedral. The tour will end with a visit the Schönbrunn Palace near Vienna, where we will view some of the most magnificently decorated rooms. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Vienna.

Day 5

Vienna – Salzburg via Melk and Steyr (330 km/ 3.50 min)
Near Vienna we will visit Melk Abbey.  This beautiful 18th-century Benedictine Abbey is about 1000 years old and has been fully restored. Many say it is the most beautiful Baroque abbey in the world - part palace, part monastery, and part opera set - and has a commanding view of the Danube. It also has a beautiful library and a very nice garden. We will also stop for some time to visit the unique city of Steyr,  one of the best preserved old towns in Austria. Steyr is famous for its historic town center built around the Town square, with fine pieces of Gothic architecture. Evening arrival in Salzburg.  Overnight in Salzburg.

Day 6

Salzburg
Discover Salzburg:  Known worldwide  as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the city of Salzburg is famous for its architecture. Often called the Rome of the North it has magnificent monuments in Baroque and Renaissance style. Salzburg is a  UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour begins at the Palace of Mirabell, built in 1606 for the Archbishop of Salzburg. Then passing the Mozarteum (University of Music) we will arrive at the Market Square with the Trinity Church, a Baroque masterpiece. Crossing over Salt River we arrive at the Hellbrunn Palace for a short photo break. The Hellbrunn Palace was built in 17th century as a hunting lodge and weekend residence for the Archbishops of Salzburg.  On the way back to the city center we will pass the palace of Frohnburg and the Nonnberg Abbey, before entering the heart of the city through the Siegmunds Gate. The tour finishes in Mozart Square with the statue of composer and the cathedral. Afternoon we continue our tour and visit Hohensalzburg, the landmark of Salzburg, which is Central Europe’s largest intact fortress and offers fantastic views of the city. Overnight in Salzburg.

Day 7

Salzburg – Cesky Krumlov (221 km/3h) – Prague (170 km/3 h)
Today we depart to the capital of Czech Republic – Prague, but on the way will stop for a rest and city tour in Cesky Krumlov,which is a unique historic town overlooked by  one of the largest Castle complexes in central Europe. Its Baroque Theatre is a pearl of world heritage. The amazing historic centre of the town with medeival, Renaissance and Baroque architecture is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Evening arrival in Prague. Overnight in Prague.

Day 8

Prague
All-day guided tour: have a walk down through the Old Town, walk around Old Town Square and see the famous Astronomical Clock at the edge of the old Town. See the Tin Church, Powder Tower, Municipal House, And Jewish Quarter. Continue from there down toward the Vltava River and walk across Charles Bridge. Afternoon: Prague Castle across the Vltava River and up to the hill to the most massive castle complex in continental Europe: Prague Castle. We’ll tour the impressive Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica and St. Vitus Cathedral. We finish a tour at Golden Lane, with the amazing atmosphere of Kafka’s Prague. Overnight in Prague.

Day 9

Prague – Bratislava (337 km/4 h) - Budapest (203 km/2.10 min)
Depart early in themorning to the capital of Slovakia – Bratislava. City tour and rest in Bratislava.  Explore the Capital of the Slovak Republic Bratislava. The Castle of Bratislava dominates the city and is a  symbol of its rich history.  from here one can observe not only the magnificent view of the city but also its bordering neighbors - Austria and Hungary, from its courtyard or the windows of the Castle. The most attractive part of Bratislava is the Old Town where the most historical sites as well as cultural institutions are concentrated. Evening arrival in Budapest. Overnight in Budapest.

Day 10

Last seen on The Pearl of Danube
Walk down  Váci Street – You will have unforgettable memories from The Heart of Budapest, also visit the Vasarcsarnok /Great Market Hall with its culinary delights and souvenirs. There will also be the possibility to buy souvenirs at the Allee while walking back near the Danube River. Afternoon: transfer to the airport for final departure.
