The Balkan country of Serbia is one of the six countries that were formerly part of Yugoslavia and has yet to be fully discovered by the bulk of tourists who are beginning to find out that it is a safe and welcoming place to visit. The capital Belgrade is without doubt an exciting city with a mix of Byzantine, Ottoman and Neoclassic architecture, museums, monuments, opera houses and theatres.
